Loudon, PA died peacefully at her home on Saturday, June 5, 2010. Born April 3, 1923 in Richmond Furnace, PA, she was the daughter of Ralph and Elva Stains Dorer.

A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are her children: Karen M. Helman and Perry M. Hockenberry, both of Ft. Loudon, PA; her grandchildren: Sheena and Brandon Hockenberry, Chris and Chad Beecher, and Trey Helman; her great grandchildren: Destiny, Aubrey, Tyler, Tyson, Cole, and Jade; and her sister, Rose Horn of Shippensburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mac H. Hockenberry on September 22, 2009, whom she married on August 9, 1945; a son, Donald M. Hockenberry, and a great granddaughter, Sierra Beecher.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Carrick United Methodist Church, 7003 Path Valley Rd., Fannettsburg, PA, with the Rev. James Fox, Pastor Phil Foster, and Pastor John Semple officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday, June 10, from 7-9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Friday. If desired, contributions may be mad in Marie's name to the Carrick UMC, PO Box 156, Spring Run, PA 17262. Arrangements are entrusted to Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, Dry Run, PA.
