Born in Adams County, he was the son of the late David and Nettie Beecher Sentz.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Study Sentz, five sons and two daughters, J. David Sentz of Gettysburg, William Sentz of Barlow, Ralph Sentz of New Cumberland, Harold Richard Sentz of Littlestown and Robert S. Sentz of Gettysburg, Janet Parrish of Taneytown, Md. and Nadine Combs of Lenoir, N.C., 30 grandchildrena and 38 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Donald Sentz of Carlisle and Earl Sentz of Hanover.
He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Whitehall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Skiles Funeral Home in Taneytown, Md., with his pastor, the Rev. A. J. Shenk, officiating. Interment will be in the Grace United Church of Christ in Taneytown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
