Funeral Rites Conducted for Crash Victim

Funeral services for Judith Adele Dillman, 22 year old Pottstown nurse who was killed Friday night in a blazing auto crash, were Monday at 2 p. m. from the Schumacher and Reber Funeral home, 359 King street.
Miss Dillman, the daughter of William A. and Helen (Beecher) Dillman, of 1251 Maple street, was riding in a car with her escort for the Charity Ball, Francis W. Wimmer, of Devon, when it was struck in the rear by another auto and burst into flames. The couple died almost instantly.
The Rev. Lewis C. Leaming Jr., pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated, and interment was in Edgewood cemetery, during a brief lull in the gale whihc provided a stark, though peachful snowy background to the brief graveside rites.
Seventy-five nurses and office employes from Pottstown hospital, where Miss Dillman was employed, paid their respects to the family Monday night at the funeral home.
Bearers were: Kenneth Landis Sr., Charles Landis Jr., George Wanter, Milton Sailer, James Brendlinger and Charles E. Houck.
