10. Obituary: Salisbury Times: obituary of Alfred Elliott on 12 Apr 1955 in Salisbury, Wicomico, MD. ⁴ A funeral service will be held in Smith Funeral Parlor, Wilmington, tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Alfred elliott, 72, a native of Salisbury.

Mr. Elliott died in his Wilmington home Sunday after a long illness. Burial also will be in Wilmington.

He was a sons of the late Alfred and Sarah Elliott of Salisbury. He is survived by his wife, Ella, and three sons and three daughters. They live in Wilmington.

Survivors in Salisbury include his stepmother, Mrs. Daisey Smullen; a half-sister, Mrs. Myrtle Jenkins; and a half-brother, Harry Guthrie.

Alfred married Mary Ella Beecher, daughter of Walter Cyrus Beecher Sr. and Sara C. O'Donnell, on 16 Jul 1901 in , , DE.¹ (Mary Ella Beecher was born on 16 Feb 1885 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE,¹⁰ died on 19 May 1966 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE ³ and was buried in Wilmington: Silverbrook Cemetery, New Castle, DE ³.)
