SALISBURY -- Lillian Alma Evans, 87, of Salisbury went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born In North Braddock, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma Jane Beacroft Beacher. Mrs. Evans attended Calvary Baptist Tabernacle.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by five children, Reeda Von Disharoon of Salisbury, Laban A. "Buddy" Evans Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Salisbury, N. Janie Goslee and her husband, David, of Pittsville, Richard W Evans and his wife, Dale, of Salisbury and Jessie L. Lokey and her husband, Dean, of Long Neck; six siblings, Laura B. Parsons and her husband, Doug, of Reading, Pa., Alfred Beacher of Baltimore, Henry Beacher and his wife, Ruth, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Richard Beacher, Susan Bello and her husband, Benny, and James Beacher and his wife, Mary Ann, all of Elkton, Md.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laban A. Evans in 1980; a daughter, Janetta M. Foskey; a son, Alfred J.T. Evans; and three brothers, Joseph, Jack and Bill Beacher.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holloway Funeral Home P.A. Friends may call Saturday one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Lou Bradley will officiate.
