He was born July 22, 1939, in Royal Center, Indiana, son of the late George Everett and Lillie (White) Beecher. He was married on December 30, 1965, in LaPorte, IN, to Dorothy Hellem Beecher, who preceded him in death. Eugene graduated from Wanatah High School. He served in the United States Army, and had retired from Pine Chevrolet as a parts manager. Surviving are his son, Donald (Crystal) Stoner of St. Cloud, FL.; daughter, Tonya (James) Rush of Osceola, IN; granddaughters, Graycen Rush of Osceola and Heather (Ryan) Jones of Wheatland, WY; great-grandsons, Collin and Oliver Jones of Wheatland, WY; sisters, Helen Hull of Edwardsburg, MI, Theresa (Randy) Pickering of Valparaiso, IN; and his partner, Audrey Younglove. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy Beecher, and grandson, Gavin Rush. There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 5-7 P.M. C.S.T. in the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. C.S.T. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in the Cutler Funeral Home. Military honors will follow the service. A private interment will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, IN.
