He has been actively associated with the Boy Scouts in Allentown and was councilor at Camp Trexler for two years.

DEERFIELD, Ill. -- Nancy Lane Beacher and Edward S. Kern III were married April 26 in the home of her parents. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Beacher, formerly of Atlanta. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Kern Jr. of Edina, Minn. Gayle George was maid of honor and Charles Foster was best man. The bride attended Florida State University. Mr. Kern received a B.S. degree from the University of Minnesota and a M.S. from the University of Houston. The couple will live in Denver, Colo.
