Next door is William's mother, Lydia Miley, 40 [should be 50], living with son Hiram, butcher, 20; and Henrietta, 8 [note: she is William's daughter, per her marriage license.] Also in the home: William Culbertson, brick mason, 43; Nicholas Jigin, 35; and Jennie Lynn, 6. Everyone was born in Ohio except Lydia, Hiram and William Miley in Pennsylvania; Culbertson in Ireland; and Jigin in Switzerland.

Newspaper: Marion Star: birth of daughter of George Miley and Anna Bicher, 19 Feb 1879, Marion, Marion, OH. ¹ Mr. George Miley, the noted bucksin bass blower, or beater, of the Marion Silver Band, as a musician cannot be excelled. He was born June 28, 1848, and for a long time was contented and staid at home, until the centennial year, 1876, when he took in the great show at Philadelphia. On that trip he became acquainted with Miss Anna Bicher, of Lebanon, Pa. This lady, in his estimation, was the only girl on earth. He came home, but seemed to be in a discontented mood, and finally went back to Lebanon, and in April, 1878, was married to Miss Bicher. He then came home, bringing with him his better half; and last evening was made to rejoice, with thousands of the American people, at the arrival of a beautiful daughter, of the average weight, sound and perfect. This is the result of the Centennial, in George's case. And Mrs. Winslow has another customer for "Soothing Syrup."

The census columns record they were married for 22 years and Anna had birthed 4 children by 1900 and 3 were alive that year. George was born in Ohio, his father in Pennsylvania, and his mother in Germany. Anna was born in Ohio and her parents in Pennsylvania. Their children were bon in Ohio.

George Manuel Meily, 80, Will Be Buried at 2 O'Clock Saturday

George Manuel Meily, 80, oldest member of the Knights of Pythias in the city, and member of the old Marion Star Hook and Ladder Company, died at 5:10 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home, 551 Pearl st., following a fourteen-day illness of complications.
Funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home, Howard L. Olewiler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be made in Marion cemetery.
Mr. Meily was born June 28, 1848, in Tiffin and was the son of William Meily, of Lebanon, Pa., and Mary Laver Meily, of Mansfield, both deceased.
He is survived by his widow, who was formerly Miss Anna M. Beicher; two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Foltz, of Lima, and Mrs. A. M. Hunter, Pearl st.; one son, Weidman Meily, Columbia st.; two sisters, Mrs. M. K. Cunningham, of Toledo, and Mrs. L. Stauffer, 600 N. State st., one half-brother, William Meily N. Main st. and three grand-children, Janice Grider, of Florida, Donald Hunter, Pearl st. and Donivan Meily, 33 Columbia st.
Mr. Meily was member of the First Presbyterian Church and his lodge affiliations were with Canby Lodge, No. 5t Knight id Pythias, in which he held a life membership. He served with the old Marion 8th Hook and Ladder Company of which James Lutz is now the only surviving member. Mr. Meily followed the occupation of painter.

George married Anna Matilda Beicher, daughter of William Biecher Jr. and Louisa Hartman Embich, on 11 Apr 1878 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA.¹ (Anna Matilda Beicher was born on 23 Feb 1855 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA ^{21 22 23 24}, christened on 30 Aug 1855 in Lebanon: Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon, PA,²⁴ died on 25 Oct 1933 in Marion, Marion, OH ²² and was buried on 28 Oct 1933 in Marion: Marion Cemetery, Marion, OH ²².)
