Edward G. Keppleman, aged 59 years, passed away at his residence at 321 North Front street, Reading, at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Death was due to pneumonia. He had been sick for the past seven weeks.

He was born in Reading, the son of Christina and the late John Keppleman. He was last employed as a foundry foreman at the Reading scale works. Previous to this position he was employed as a foundry foreman at the American Iron and Steel Works in this city. He was a Lutheran.

He is survived by his mother, his wife Ella (nee Beicher), and one daughter, Ruth, at home. Five brothers, William, John, Howard, Theodore and Albert Keppleman, all of Reading, and three sisters: Mrs. David (Mabel) Ermentrout, Mrs. Howard Free of Reading, and Mrs. Joseph Vasey of Wilmington, Del.


Edward married Ella Embich Biecher, daughter of William Biecher Jr. and Louisa Hartman Embich, on 23 Jan 1897 in , Lebanon, PA.1 (Ella Embich Biecher was born on 7 Jan 1876 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA,7 12 13 14 15 died on 16 Dec 1944 in Wernersville, Berks, PA 15 16 and was buried on 19 Dec 1944 in West Lawn: Memorial Mausoleum, Berks, PA 15.)
