Miss Beecher, 72, or 316 Sycamore St., died at 1:45 a.m. today, Jan. 20, 1983, in Altoona Hospital, following an extended illness.

Miss Beecher retired as owner-operator of Dillon's Market in Greenwood in 1979.

She was born June 27, 1910, in Altoona, the daughter of Edgar A. and Bessie (Long) Beecher.

Surviving are two brothers, Jack A. of Bellemead and David C. of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Miss Beecher was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Greenwood Dandy Lions.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maulk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata.
