McCLANAHAN, JOHN NULL - Died at the residence of his brother, Robert McClanahan, in Council bend, on Friday night, Feb. 11, 1887, of rheumatism, John Null McClanahan, aged about 60 years. The deceased had been for some years a bridge carpenter and lived at Johnsonville. He was brought here by his brothers on Tuesday before his death on Friday.

5. Obituary: The Hickman Pioneer on 25 Feb 1887 in , Hickman, TN. McCLANAHAN, JOHN NULL - Died at the residence of his brother, R. W. McClanahan, in Council's bend, at 8 o'clock a.m. Saturday, February 12, 1887, after a protracted spell of fever and rheumatism, John N. McClanahan. He was the oldest son of the late Absolum N. and Lida McClenahan. He was 61 years, 10 months and 21 days old. Interment on the 13th, at 2 p.m. at the family burial ground in Council's bend, near his old homestead. Rev. W. R. Keathly officiated. He leaves four brothers and one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn their loss, but we hope their loss is his eternal gain. - A Friend.
