Nelson A. Young of Drums, died suddenly yesterday morning while attending Sunday School class at Drums Methodist Church. He was a retired carpenter.
He was a member of the board of trustees and the official board of the Drums Methodist Church.
Surviving is his wife, the former Carrie Reisenweaver, and the following children: Mrs. Chandler Martin, West Chester; Mrs. William Hooven, Flemington; Mrs. Jarrett Campbell, Jacksonville, Fla.; Edward Horn, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. B. Donald Beacher, Springfield. Eleven grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters also survive: Marvin Young, Drums; Mrs. Lulla Gilmore and Mrs. Albert Casterline, Noxen.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Bachman Brothers' Funeral Home at Hazleton, with Rev. Charles Pope officiating. Interment will be in the Drums Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
