Beecher, Dickinson, and Pfc. Charles Nevin LeDane, son of Thomas H. and the late Mrs. LeDane of Huntsdale.
The ceremony was performed May 1 in the First Presbyterian Church, Denton, Texas, by the Rev. H. J. Goodykoontz.
The bride wore a dress of blue crepe with navy and white accessories. Her corsage was of sweetheart roses.
The attendants were Pvt. and Mrs. R. Wallace Kann. Private Kahn's home is at 23 North Queen street, Shippensburg, and Mrs. Kann is the former Miss Twyla Wolfe of Walnut Bottom.
The bride was graduated from Carlisle High school in 1937 and is employed at Dickinson.
Private LeDane attended Carlisle High school and was employed by the state fish hatchery at Huntsdale before he entered service. He now is spending a furlough with his wife and other relatives and friends in the community. He is stationed at camp Howze, Texas, with the 342nd Infantry.

He died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1998 in Newville.

Born Nov. 28, 1921 in Hunstdale, the son of the late Thomas H. and Susan Miller LeDane, he was a retired equipment operator for the Pennsylvania Fish Commission, with 35 years of service in Huntsdale.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Centerville Lutheran Church, Penn Township Fire Co., American Legion Post 101, National Rifle Association and the Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association.

Mr. LeDane is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Centerville; two sons, John of Centerville and David of Maryland; two daughters, Linda Hummel Gingrich of Loysville and Kathy L. Rock of Pine Grove; two brothers, Robert of Florida and Daniel of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Jean Kuebler will officiate at the memorial service. Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg.
