!MARRIAGE: Source-7 p. 77 for name

!DEATH: Source-6 William died after 24 Aug when census was taken and before 2 Sep. 1850 when the will was proven. Source-4 EBP said he lived and died within four miles of Kingsport TN. Source-5 p. 44 has 7 Apr 1872 as date of death but this has to be incorrect since Lydia is a widow in the 1860 Sullivan Co. census.

!ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Source-6 Last Will and Testament of William Booher
In the Name of God Amen.
I, William Booher of the County of Sullivan and State of Tenn. being in a weak state of body but perfect and disposing mind and memory and understanding the certainty of death and the uncertainty of life and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave the World when it shall please the Lord to Call me hence, I do therefore make and publish this my last Will and testament in the manner and form following Viz.
1st - I will that so much of my personal property as may be Necessary to defray the expences [sic] of my funeral and also to pay any out standing debts be sold to the highest bidder and the money Applied to that use.

2 - I will that my wife Lydia, Shall have and hold my farm with two horses and all the stock together with household and Kitchen furniture And Also my farming tools and other tools, Also the Crop and all produce that may be on hand excepting one cow and one bed and beding for my daughter Adaline, one cow , one bed, and beding fer my daughter Faliscia, so as to make them equal with my married Children. The balance my wife is to hold during her Natural life.

3rd - I will that after the death of my wife Lydia, all the property and land be Sold and equally divided between my eight Children, Malinda, Latham, Nancy Carver, John Silvester, Adaline, Holt [Hetty] Barrett, Ollivia Russell, and Feliscia [sic] with the express understanding that my two daughters Adaline and Ferliscia [sic], have the privelage [sic] of a home on my premices that is to say, One room, garden, firewood and water while they remain single.

4th- I will that my other farm be rented out during the Natural life of my wife and the rent divided between my eight Children yearly.

5th - I will that my two Slaves, Andrew and Elizabeth, serve my wife during her life and after her death to live with either of my children they may choose to serve Allways have their choice, the one fer whom Andrew may work and also Elizabeth, is to pay each of the $10.00 extra of this ever day clothing fer them when the Need it for other clothing is Necessities. They are not to be prohibited from going to preaching occasionally. John S. Booher will see that the the $1000 is appropriated in that way. And should the $10.00 not be used as here directed it must be held for them when they get old. If Andrew becomes ungovernable my wife Lydia shall have the privilege of leaving him out and she be their judge of that.

6 - It is my will that my son-in-law James Russell, have no control or managment of my property, family or house, and so far as my daughter's interest is concerned after the death of my wife.

7 - I nominate and appoint my son John S. Booher and my brother Benjamin Booher Executors of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all former wills and Acknowledge this to be my last Will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my Nmae and affixed my seal this 1 day of July 1850.

!Source-4 EBP said that William had nine children, three sons and six daughters. One boy died in infancy and she couldn't remember the names of the younger girls. The children as listed by EBP were Lucinda, Nancy, John, Adeline, Mary "Polly", and Olivia.

!Source-5 The children listed in the will were (in order of mention) Adeline, Felicia, Malinda, Lathan, Nancy Carver, John Sylvester, Adaline [mentioned again], Holt Barret, Olivia Russell, and Felicia [mentioned again]

!Source-7 p. 77 lists Hetty and Lucinda which I do not find anywhere. He does not mention Felicia
