Schoch, a former Allentown resident, died Saturday in Bryn Mawr Hospital, Philadelphia, where he had been a surgical patient since Jan. 15. Schoch, 47, operated a foreign car agency in Bryn Mawr. His wife is the former Nanette Bury of Allentown. He was the son of Hulda and the late Roy Schoch and was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Nov. 14, 1917. The family came to Allentown when he was 14 and his father had been employed by Pennsylvania Power & Light Co. Schoch was a member of the Class of 1936, Allen High School, and was active with the 213th Coast Artillery, National Guard. He went through the entire war with the organization and saw action in seven campaigns in Africa and Europe. Schoch initially worked as an Installer for Bell Telephone Co. at the close of the war, but in 1947 went to work for his father-in-law, Martin Bury, who conducted a new car business in Philadelphia. He opened his own agency in Bryn Mawr about 10 years ago. Surviving, in addition to his mother, of Allentown, and his wife, of Bryn Mawr, are three daughters, Rhea-Jean and Deborah, at home, and Pamela, a freshman at Ursinus College. The family would appreciate blood donations at Easton Hospital.
