I George Grube of the township of Williams in the County of Northampton and commonweath of Pennsylvania farmer do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void any former wills at any time heretofore made by me, First I direct that my body be decently interred at the burying grounds of the Williams Township Church, and I also direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as possible after my decease out of the first monies that shall come in the hands of my Executers herein after named. I direct that all my personal property be sold by my executors at a public Sale and that all the real estate of __ I shall die seized or posses shall be sold by my executors at public Sale after having given due public and timely notice of the __ and place of Sale the sale to be made for cash or if it shall be deemed best by my Executors upon a reasonable credit They taking care to secure the payments of the purchase money for the said Lands __ Effectuate? This my intentions. I do hereby authorize and empower my Executors or the survivors of them to sign seal execute and acknowledge all such deeds or Deeds of Conveyance __ required to and necessary for the granting to the purchasers or purchaser thereof in fee simple as inn full or large a manner in every respect as I myself could do if living. I give and bequeath unto my son Peter Grube out of the first monies that shall come to the hands of my Executors after the payment of funeral expenses and just debts the sum of forty dollars. It is further my will that the proceeds of the sale of my real estate and personal property after the payment of my debts and the proper expenses for my settlement of my estate and the Legacy before mensioned shall be divided in nine equal shares of which one share I give and Bequeath to my son Peter Grube and one share I give and bequeath unto my grandchildren the sons and daughters of my daughter Sarah Grube now died which above named shall be equally divided among my daughter Sarah's children with one share. I authorize and direct my Executors to purchase a lot or piece of Land in trust for the use and benefit of my son Jacob Grube during his natural Life and __ And after the decease of the said Jacob in trust so his heirs in __. One share I give and bequeath unto me son George Grube in trust the same as above. One share I give and bequeath to my daughter the wife of Moses Bougher each share it direct my Executors to __ To her or to such person as she shall appoint in person by writing signed by two witnesses to receive it for her. One share I give and bequeath to my daughter Susanne the wife of Daniel Christine each share shall be given to her by my executors as the above daughter Elizabeth. One share I give and bequeath to my daughter Christina the wife of Anthony Grube the same as the __. One share I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the wife of John Warson same as the above. And one share I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret the wife of Charles Rice the sum to be paid to him by my executors as the above mensioned daughters. Should one of the Legatees die before me or between my decease and the time of decision or distribution of my estate. I enter and desire that the heirs of such Ligatee or Ligatees shall receive the share or shares of that ___section ancestors would have been entitled to receive if then living it is further my will that my children shall account to my executors for such sum or sums of money or shall be charged against them in my books or besides and where the charges are made against my son and son in law the accounts shall be attained each if their share bequeath to their wives or my sons respectfully.
And Lastly I hereby nominate my friends George Applegate and my son Peter Grube Executors of this my Last will and testament. In witness where I George Grube the testator prove my hand and seal this sixth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six George X Grube (his mark) signed sealed published and delivered by the above named George Grube as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses hereto in the presence of the testator and at his request Jacob D. Sharer Andrew He??i George Applegate Northampton County on the twentysecond day of December one thousand eight hundred and forty six. George Grube Will Proved Before Samuel Siegfried the registrar for the Probate of Wills in and for the county of aforesaid Personally appeared the above named Jacob Shearer, Andrew Huay subscribing witness to the forgoing instrument of writing, purporting to be the Last Will an Testament of George Grube now deceased and being duly sworn according to the law and severlly depose and say that they were present at the execution of the said within written instrument and saw and heard the said George Grube sign seal publish and declare the same as and for his Last will and Testament .
That at the time of so doing he was of sound deposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and observation and belief and they also signed their names as witness thereunto at the request and in the presence of said Testator and in the presence of each other and in the presence of George Applegate also subscribed as a witness at the particular request of said testator but being Executors named he was not sworn as a witness. Witness being _____ Samuel Siegfried Register Same Day Letters Testament __ was granted to George Applegate and Peter Grube the Executors within signed who were first sworn according to the law.
