Next door is his son, Owen Knerr, 40, tenant farmer, with his wife Mary A., 29; William, 15; James, 13; Elizabeth, 11; Adda, 9; Asa, 5. Also in Owen's home is Alice Beck, 6, and Elizabeth Gedes, 65. Owen has no real estate and his personal estate is worth $1429.

This is true of her parents, but other research indicates Jonas' parents were born in Pennsylvania. Perhaps the census taker wrote it for both by mistake?
