Divorce business continues to occupy the attention of the Northumberland county court. Claiming desertion for the past ten years, Nelda N. Harman, of Shamokin brought action abaing Truman B. Harman, whose last address was Mahanoy City. They were married in Mauch Chunk in 1908. There are two children living with the mother.
The case was the third for divorce within a week. A decree in divorce was signed by the court in the case of Reno B. Bingaman versus Mildred H. Bingaman.

Harmon on 2 May 1960 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE. 9 Mrs. Nelda Beech Harmon of 252 Thomas Drive, Monroe Park Apartments, who had operated the Peggy Harmon School of Dance, died on Saturday at her home after a lengthy illness. Born in Shenandoah, Pa., she had been a music teacher most of her life. In recent years she had operated the dance studio with her daughter, Mrs. Peggy Harmon Ender. In addition to Mrs. Ender, she is survived by four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held tonight at 8 p. m. at the McCrery Funeral Home, 2700 Washington Street. Friends may call after 7. Graveside services and interment will be held tomorrow at 1 p. m. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, Pa.

Burial services were conducted at 1 p.m. today in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Tamaqua, for former Shenandoah resident, Mrs. Nelda (Jacobs) Harmon who died Saturday in Wilmington, Del., at the home of her married daughter, with whom she resided. Officiating at the services was Rev. Wesley Boyd, D.D., pastor of the Primitive Methodist Church, South Jardin street. Mrs. Harmon's parents, the late William and Sarah (Beach) Jacobs, were pioneer residents of the community. The family resided at 35 West Oak street where Mr. Jacobs conducted a tailor shop for many years. Two brothers, Harold and Lawrence Jacobs, conducted a book store at this same address in later years. Both are deceased. Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by a son and her husband, and is survived by one daughter in Wilmington, where previous funeral services were held.


Nelda married Truman Boyd Harmon on 12 Mar 1908 in Jim Thorpe, Carbon, PA.1 The marriage ended in divorce in 1929. (Truman Boyd Harmon was born on 19 Nov 1885 in Montoursville, Lycoming, PA 1 17 18 19 and died on 21 Aug 1968 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA 19.)
