Sarah had been married for 20 years to Joseph and she had given birth to one child, still alive in 1900. [Note: John E.'s mother was Lydia Beecher who died soon after his birth.].

4. Obituary: Gettysburg Times: obituary of John E. Fleck on 4 Apr 1946 in Gettysburg, Adams, PA. 3 John E. Fleck, 72, died at his home, Gettysburg R. 3, at 10 o'clock this morning from a complication of diseases. He had been in failing health for 10 years, was unable to work for eight years and was practically helpless for three years.

He was born and always resided in the house in which he died. He was the last survivor of the family of the late Joseph and Lydia (Beecher) Fleck. Mr. Fleck was a farmer all his life. He was a member of Arendtsville Reformed church.

Surviving is his widow, the former Miss Blanche thomas, with who he observed his 28th wedding anniversary last June.

Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bender funeral home conducted by the Rev. Nevin Frantz. Interment in Everygreen cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening after 7 o'clock.
