2. Census in 1940 in Caln, Chester, PA. ⁸ Two Beecher families are on the same page.

The 1940 census recorded Harold E. Beecher, drill presser in an iron manufacturing company, 24, living with wife Emma, 23; and Donald, 3.

Edward E. Beecher, chipper in a boiler manufacturing company, 54, was living with wife Mary A., 55; step-son Edward H. Richards, 29; step daughter-in-law Agnes D. Richards, 24; and their son (Mary's grandson) Roger Edward Richards, 7 months old.

Everyone was born in Pennsylvania except Mary A. in Maryland.

3. Census in 1950 in Caln, Chester, PA. ⁹ The 1950 census recorded Harold Beecher, drill press operator in iron works, 34, living with wife Emma, 34; Donald, 13; Vernon, 9; daughter Adella, 3; and Gary, 2. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.
