Probate in 1856 in Mount Pleasant Twp., Adams, PA. 13 See Adam's grandfather, George Gulden, who in his 1856 will gave his grandson Adam Beacher $500 to be paid when Adam reached the age of twenty-one. 2. Census in 1860 in Tyrone Twp., Adams, PA. 14 The 1860 Census for Tyrone lists John Beacher, age 45, farmer, living with his wife, Hetty (age 37); and Adam (9). Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. 3. Newspaper: Hanover Herald, 18 Jan 1873, Hanover, York, PA. 1 Adam Beecher (Arendtsville) m.Jan 5 by Rev. M.Snyder to Gennie B. Bittinger (Arendtsville). 4. Census in 1880 in Logan Twp., Blair, PA. 16 Adam Beecher, carpenter, 29, was living with wife Christina, 32; Cora May, 6; and Emery C., 1. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania. 5. Newspaper: Altoona Tribune: Death of Adam Beecher, 23 Dec 1892, Altoona, Blair, PA. 7 Adam Beecher died at 10 o'clock yesterday forenoon of pneumonia at his residence No. 44 Fourth avenue, after an illness of two weeks. He was aged 42 years. Beside his wife five children survive him -- Cora M., Emery C., Olive S., Edgar A., and John W. Beecher. The deceased was a carpenter by trade and had been a resident of this city for several years. He was a member of the First Lutheran church. The funeral services will be held in the First Lutheran church to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock after which interment will follow in Fairview. [Adams county papers please copy.]. 7.
