A family reunion was held on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Biecher, South Eighth street. Charles Biecher, who had been absent from the city for 12 years, returned home the early part of last week, and on Saturday evening J. Edward Biecher arrived from Marion, Ohio, where he has been residing for 21 years. It was a happy meeting of parents, sisters and brothers.

John E. Beicher, retired employe of the Marion Steam Shovel Co. and the Commercial Steel Casting Co. and a resident of Marion for 60 years, died last night at 8:40 at his home at 300 Pearl street. Mr. beicher, who would have been 81 years of age on Nov. 19, had been ill for the last two months.
He was a fireman at the Marion Steam Shovel Co. for 35 years and for 10 years was with the Commercial Steel Casting Co. He retired 10 years ago.
Mr. Beicher was born in Lebanon, Pa. on Nov 19, 1857 to William and Louise Embich Beicher, both natives of Lebanon. His marriage to Miss Louise Mayer took place on March 5, 1882 in Marion.
Surviving with the widow are four children, Mrs. Lena Schoechle of 300 Pearl street, Earl I. Beicher of 217 Orchard street, superintendent of the Marion Osgood Co., Mrs. Estella Burhans of Van Court, Wash., and Willard Beicher of New York City, six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Wiser of Boyertown, Pa., and Mrs. Ella Keppelman of Reading, Pa., and two brothers, William H. Beicher of Lebanon, Pa., and Charles Beicher of Philadelphia.
Mr. Beicher attended the Prospect Street Methodist church.
The funeral will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p. m. at the Schaffner-Denzer Co. funeral home on East Center street by Rev. Henry Maag, of the Prospect Street church. Burial will be made in Marion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
