Everyone was born in New York. John's home was valued at $1,200 and personal estate $300. The post office was Corning.

3. Census in 1900 in Corning, Steuben, NY. 3 Owning the home at 189 East Second was John Bucher, 75, born Dec 1824, was living with his wife of 45 years, Adelia, 63, Nov 1836. She had birthed 4 children, 1 was alive in 1900. Living with them: Samuel, "brother", 79, Jan 1821, who had been married 48 years but his wife is not present. Samuel & John were born in New York of parents from Pennsylvania. Adelia was born in New York, her father in Massachusetts and mother in Pennsylvania. John was a carpenter, Samuel a farm laborer.
