His wife, Susanna (Schweitzer), born May 14, 1790, died Jan. 23, 1870, and both are buried at St. John's Church, in Upper Mahanoy Township. They had children as follows: Abraham (died April 18, 1894, aged 76 years, one month, five days; his wife, Susanna, died Nov. 13, 1898, aged eighty years, four months, eighteen days), George (who moved away from this region), John S., Daniel S., Simon, William (lived in Allentown, Pa.) and Catharine (married George Kahler).
