Yost George and George George were heads of families and property owners in Lowhill Township in 1762. They paid a tax in that year of 6 and 5 pounds respectively. John George was assessed a single man in that year and doubtless was the son of one of the above named.

In 1781, the tax list records, Jost, George, John, Simon and Lawrence George, as residents of Lowhill. The federal census of 1790, records the following heads of families in Lowhill: Elizabeth George (2 sons, 8 females); Henry George (3 males, 2 females); Lawrence George (3 males and 4 females); George George (3 males over 16 years, and 4 females); George George, Jr. 9 (had a wife and one daughter); Simon George (had 2 sons over 16 and 2 under 16 years of age and 4 females).
