bullet  General Notes:

No Buchers are living in Pinegrove Township in the 1800 Census, let alone near the Jonathan Zerbe family where we find Jonathan Bucher in 1810 and 1820. We suspect he moved into the area in 1809 right after the birth of his son Jacob.

bullet  Birth Notes:

The typewritten transcript of the St. John's church record book shows his birth data as 7 Feb 1781, yet the typewritten transcript of his tombstone shows it as 7 Feb 1780. We believe one or the other is a typo, more than likely the tombstone since it was common to baptize a child about a month following birth. Inspection of the original tombstone or the original handwritten church records will identify the correct year. We are certain this Johann is the same person because other evidence proves so.
