10. Newspaper: Valley Falls New Era: Beecher-Scott Marriage, 6 May 1909, Valley Falls, Jefferson, KS, USA. 1 The marriage of Mr. William A. Beecher of Topeka, Kansas, and Miss Rosetta M. Scott of Jefferson county, Kansas, took place at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Scott, at Larned, Kansas, May 2, 1909 at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon. The marriage service was performed by Rev. Bartly, the pastor of the M. E. church at Lamed. The house was beautifully decorated with flowers. The bride was dressed in light blue silt. The groom was dressed in broadcloth. The brides family and a few immediate friends were present. Many beautiful and useful presents were given. Mr. and Mrs. William Beecher went to their home in the northwest part of Larned, that the groom had already furnished. Mr. and Mrs. Beecher will remain in Larned this summer and this fall will move to Oklahoma where Mr. Beecher owns land. Their friends at Larned wishes them a happy and successful life.
