4. Census in 1860 in Alexandria, Huntingdon, PA. 2 Hannah Bucher, age 80, is living with daughter Eliza, 54. Hannah's estate is valued at $15,000 for possessions with no real estate, and Eliza's at $4000 for possessions plus $8000 in real estate. Also living with them is Caroline Hatfield, 46; Charles Hatfield, 18, student; and Susan Isenburg, 23, domestic.

Next door is presumed to be Hannah's son, George C. Bucher, age 38, merchant. His estate is valued at $6,400 in real estate and $3,500 in possessions. With him is wife Susan, 37; John, 13; Hannah, 10; Amie, 8; Eliza, 6; Mary, 4; and George, 1.

5. Census in 1880 in Black Hall, Fulton, GA. 6 John C. Bucher, age 35, nurseryman, is living single in the household of Fransis Kilpatrick, age 52, farmer, and his wife, Sarah C., age 41, and their daughter, Martha L.. Everyone and their parents were born in Georgia, except for John Bucher who was born in Pennsylvania, as were his parents.

She had given birth by 1900 to one child: Marion, 16, born Jul 1883, single. Also in the home is Agnes Bidwell, mother-in-law, 63, born Nov 1836, widow, who had birthed four children by 1900, two of whom were still living. The home also has a black servant: Winnie Griffin, 35, born May 1865, single.

John C. and his parents were born in Pennsylvania; Marion and her parents in New York; and daughter Marion was born in Georgia. John's occupation is florist. He owned the home.
