Census in 1850 in Pottsgrove Twp., Montgomery, PA. ⁷ Henry Bucher, 40, shoemaker, is living with wife Hannah, 34; Sarah, 16; Catherine, 14; Susanna, 12; John, 10; Henry, 6; Sebastian, 4; Hannah R., 2; and Lewis H., 6 months old when the census was recorded on 12 Sep 1850. Also in the home was Henry's mother, Hannah, 75. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. Henry's real estate was valued at $1,200.

2. Census in 1860 in Pottsgrove Twp., Montgomery, PA. ⁸ Henry Buchard, master shoemaker, 50, was married to wife Elizabeth, 48. Living with them: John, apprentice shoemaker, 20; Henry, apprentice shoemaker, 16; Sebastian, 15; Hannah, 12; and Lewis N., 10. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. His real estate was worth $900 and personal estate $200.

3. Census in 1870 in Pottstown, Montgomery, PA. ⁹ Henry Bucher, shoemaker, 60, was living with wife Hannah, 58; and Lewis H., shoemaker, 20. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. Henry's real estate was worth $5,000 and personal estate $700. The post office is Pottstown.

4. Obituary: Daily Pottstown Ledger on 18 Nov 1895 in Pottstown, Montgomery, PA. ⁵ Henry M. Bucher died on Sunday morning at his late residence, No. 19 Walnut Street, aged 86 years 3 days. Deceased was a shoemaker by trade and a highly respected citizen. He was thrice married and the following children, all from the first wife, survive: Henry M., Sebastian, John and Lewis Bucher; Sarah, wife of Augustus Bechtel; Kate, wife of John N. Mauger; and Hannah, wife of Henry K. Rhoades. His second wife was the mother of John H. Bickel, Esq. of Norristown, and his third wife, who survives, is mother of Hamilton, Samuel, and Jacob D. Engel of this borough.

The funeral of Henry M. Bucher will be held from his residence, No. 19 Walnut Street, on Thursday, November 21, at 10 o'clock a.m. Services in Trinity Reformed Church and interment at Pottstown Cemetery.
