Allen, carpenter, 39, living with wife Almina, 39; Marietta F., 14; George L., 12; Julia, 10; William B., 8; Ulysses G., 6; and Emma A. 10 months old when the census was recorded on 12 Jul 1870. Everyone was born in Ohio except Almina in Pennsylvania, and Ulysses and Emma in Indiana. The post office was Center.

2. Census in 1880 in Saint George, Pottawatomie, KS, United States. 6 The 1880 census recorded Wilson D. Allen, carpenter, 48, living with wife Almina, 49; George, teacher, 22; William B., laborer, 18; Ulysses G., odd jobs, 16; Emma A., 10; Hattie M. 8; and Walter T., 5. Wilson and his parents, and George and William were born in Ohio. Almina and her parents were born in Pennsylvania. The others were born in Indiana.
A few houses later is Wilson's daughter, Flora, 22, living with her husband, Wm. Fortune, laborer, 23. William and his father were born in Virginia and his mother in Kentucky. Flora and her father were born in Ohio and mother in Pennsylvania.
Next to them is William's father, James Fortune, laborer, 62, and wife Mary, 59 with sons David, farmer, 27, and John, at home, 20. All and their parents were born in Virginia, except Mary and David in Kentucky.
Futher down this census page is Wilson Allen's newlywed daughter, Julia A., 20, living with her husband, Louis Smallwood, railroad employee, 20. She was born in Ohio and he in Missouri.

Resolved, That the Warden's axe of Manhattan Lodge, No. 17, be draped in mourning for thirty days, and a copy of these resolutions be sent to the father of the deceased, to Chili Lodge, No. 302, and to the Daily Republic, Mercury and Nationalist.
