ROSSVILLE Ross N. Beeker, 83, a resident of Milner Community Healthcare in Rossville, died there at 10:22 a.m. Sunday, following an extended illness. He had been a patient there since January 1985. Mr. Beeker had been stationary and supplies supervisor at General Telephone Co., for many years, retiring in 1967. Born in Battle Ground, May 26, 1902, he was reared there, and spent most of his adult life in Lafayette. He lived in Nokomis, Fla., four years, and returned to Lafayette 2 1/2 years ago. He attended Lafayette Business College. A World War II veteran, he served in the Army. He was married Jan. 9, 1941, in Lafayette, to Alma Conklin. She died Sept. 29, 1983. He was a member of Federated Church in West Lafayette; West Lafayette Masonic Lodge 724; Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis; and a life member of BPO Elks 143. Surviving are a brother, Robert B. Beeker of-Lafayette; and three sisters, Mrs. Marshall (Mary Jane) Hackleman of Escondido, Calif., Mrs. Roy (Josephine) Hall of Sarasota, Fla., and Mrs. Earl (Alice) Frasier of Indianapolis.
