He was a native of Charleston, SC. and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 40 years of service. He was also a Merchant Marine in WWII. Mr. Jessen was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 23, 1998, 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Father Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be Monday, 5-8pm and Rosary at 7pm. Survivors are; wife, Evelyn B. Jessen of Trussville, Ala.; sons, Anthony Jessen and his wife Martha of Pinson, Ala., Rodney Jessen and his wife Tammy of Pinson, Ala., Harold Jessen and his wife Beth of Trussville, Ala., Jimmy Jessen and his wife Carolyn of Trussville, Ala.; grandchildren, Jeff Jessen, Greg Jessen, Eric Jessen, Josh Park, Lori Wilkinson; great grandchildren, Alex Jessen, Nicole Jessen, Natalie Jessen and Lauren Jessen; 4 nephews and one niece. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home directing.
