Beeker, died today at her home in St. Louis Crossing following an 8-month illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Norman funeral home in Hope conducted by the Rev. Hubert Walker and the Rev. Ralph Turney. Burial will be at the Hope Moravian cemetery. Persons may call afternoon Sunday at the funeral home. Born in Bartholomew county July 1, 1881, Mrs. Beeker was the daughter of John and Mary Wade Gonce. She was married to Mr. Beeker in January 1898. He died in 1931. Mrs. Beeker was a member of the St. Louis Crossing Methodist church and a charter member of the WSCS and the WCTU of the church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Bernice Marie Snapp and Mrs. Martha Ann Andrews both of St Louis Crossing, Mrs. Mary Jeanette Hawkins of Hope and Miss Edith Margaret Beeker of Indianapolis; three sons, Glen Frederick Beeker of Hope route 2, John and Robert Beeker of St. Louis Crossing and Harold Dean Beeker of Hope; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children, Helen McNeally died Dec. 20, 1955 and Sara Evelyn in January of 1911.
