Becker [sic - handwriting is poor], division foreman for construction company, 39, living with wife Rosa E., 29; Samuel P. Jr., 9; Edna R., 5; and sister-in-law Mildred Brill, 17. Samuel and his parents were born in South Carolina [should be North]. Rosa and Mildred were born in Alabama, their father in Kentucky and their mother in Germany. The children were born in Alabama.

2. Census in 1940 in Birmingham, Jefferson, AL. 8 The 1940 census recorded renting at 1201 50th Street: Samuel Beeker, line man construction for power company, 49, living with wife Rose, 38; Samuel, 19; Edna Rose, 15; William Lonnie, 8; and Augusta, 5. Samuel Sr. was born in North Carolina, the others in Alabama. They were in the same place in 1935.

3. Newspaper: Pauline Moore Weds S. P. Beeker, 22 Jul 1942, Roanoke, Randolph, AL, USA. 9 The marriage of Miss Pauline Moore, of this city, to Mr. S. P. Beeker, of Birmingham and Panama City, Fla., is announced by the bride's mother, Mrs. Paul Moore. The Rev. Belt White performed the ceremony at his home on West Point Street at five oclock Saturday afternoon before the members of the family, following which the young couple left to spend the week end in Birmingham. They are making their home in Panama City where Mr. Beeker is engaged in defense work. Mrs. Beeker, talented and charming, has many friends in Roanoke where she finished high school and has since been employed in a responsible position with the Goodall Company. Mr. Beeker was formerly connected with the Alabama Power Company and was located here for a short time.

8. Obituary: Florida Today: obituary of Samuel P. Beeker on 29 Dec 1998 in Cocoa, Brevard, FL, USA. 13 SAMUEL P. BEEKER Mr. Samuel P. Beeker, (S.P.) of Melbourne, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 26, 1998 while visiting family in Birmingham. He served as a Navy Sea Bee during World War II. He worked for Alabama Power and later retired from Florida Power and Light. Survivors include his daughter, Rosalyn and grandson, David Levin of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters. Edna Beeker of Birmingham, Augusta and her husband, Alfred C. Dougherty of Milton, Florida; brother, William Beeker and wife Helen of Titusville, Florida; uncle, Paul Brill and wife, Elsie of Bessmer, Alabama; aunts, Mildred Cox of Valley, Alabama and Effie Mae Brill of Jackson, Tennesee; and a special friend, Peggy Vacula of Melbourne, Florida. The family will receive friends Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 10 A.M. with a memorial service at 11 A.M. at Ridout's Southside Chapel.
