Mrs. McBride was born in Chester. She was a graduate of West Chester University. She was a teacher in both the Chester Upland and Penn Delco school districts, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Our Lady of Charity Church the Notre Dame Golden Age Charitians the Pennsylvania State Education Association the Old Guard and was president-elect of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees.
She was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Georganna Dewees Beecher, and the sister of the late William Beecher.
Survivors: Husband, Charles McBride daughters, Patricia McBride Kacperski of Wilmington, Del. brothers, Donald Beecher of Bethlehem, Pa., and Jeffrey Beecher of Upland sisters, Dale King of Chester and Tammy Cairns of Kennett Square.
Mass: Noon Saturday, Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Road, Brookhaven.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight and 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, William S. Bleyler Funeral Home, 500 W. 22nd St., Upland.
Burial: SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
