8. Obituary: York Daily Record: obituary of Robert W. Draucker on 7 Aug 2003 in York, York, PA. ⁶ Robert W. Draucker, 85, died at 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at York Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marian L. (Schelhorn) Draucker. Born October 16, 1917 in Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pa., he was a son of the late Orland Willard and Laura Mae (Sheaffer) Draucker. He was a retired accountant with several transportation and trucking companies. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was also a Retired U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer. He was a 1934 graduate of William Penn Senior High School, a lifetime member of York Rifleman's Association, and a member of the Goodwill Fire Company No. 5, Hawk Gunning Club, Fleet Reserve Association Branch No. 106, Fraternal Organization Navy/Marines, Plank Owners Association and The National Rifle Association. He is survived by a son, Robert W. Draucker, Jr. of York; a daughter, Mary Beth Beecher of York; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Draucker of Dallastown. Mr. Draucker was preceded in death by a son, John S. Draucker, who died in 1979. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York with the Rev. Louis Petruha, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
