  Noted events in her life were:

1. Census in 1850 in Heidelberg Twp., York, PA. 6 Jacob Bucher, farmer, age 40, was living with wife Nancy, 30; son Jacob, 6; and son George, 3. Jacob's real estate was valued at $3,000. Also with them is his mother, Elizabeth Bucher, 75; and her daughter Elizabeth, 48.

2. She signed a will on 18 Oct 1879 in Heidelberg Twp., York, PA. 7 I Elizabeth Bucher of the Township of Heidelberg in the County of York, and State of Pennsylvania, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at anytime heretofore made, And first, I direct that my body be decently interred in the burying ground on John Bucher's farm according to the rites and ceremonies of the Mennonite denomination of Christian, and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life; And as to such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows. First, I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible, out of the first moneys that shall come into the hands of my executors from any portion of my estate, real or personal:
Item, I will and bequeath unto Jacob F. Bucher the (16) sixteen Sharesof Bank Stock held by me in the Hanover Savings Fund Society, to his use forever.
Item, The children of Michael Bucher my brother, shall have one share of my estate the same to be divided among the children of Michael Bucher, share and share alike
Item, The children of John Bucher my deceased brother shall have one share of my estate, to be divided among the children of John Bucher, dec'd. share and share alike.
Item, The children of Jacob Bucher my deceased brother shall have one share of my estate, to be divided among the children of Jacob Bucher deceased, share and share alike.
My Will, meaning and intention is that Jacob F. Bucher shall have the (16) sixteen shares of Bank Stock as aforesaid, independent of what he shall receive as a son of Jacob Bucher, and after that all my estate shall be divided in three equal shares---after expenses are paid and one
share shall then be divided among the children of my brother Michael Bucher deceased, share and share alike and one share shall then be divided among the children of my bother John Bucher deceased, share and share alike; and one share shall then be divided among the children ofmy brother Jacob Bucher deceased, share and share alike.
And I do hereby make, constitute and ordain Jacob F. Bucher, my Nephew to executor of this my Last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I, Elizabeth Bucher the testator, have to this my last will and testament, set my hand and seal this 18th day of October A.D. 1879

Before me Edward Stuck Register for the Probate of Wills, and for granting Letters Testamentary and of Administration in and for said County, personally appeared John M. Wolf and A.D. Kohler the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and Testament, who, upon being duly qualified according to law, doth depose and say that they were personally present and saw and heard Elizabeth Bucher late of Heidelberg Township, York County, Pennsylvania, deceased, the testatrix, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the written and foregoing instrument of writing as and for her Last Will and Testament, and at the time of her so doing she the testatrix was of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that they witnessed the same at the request of the testatrix and in her presence and in the presence of each other, Affirmed and subscribed to before me John M. Wolf

Memorandum,
Elizabeth Bucher, the said decedent, died on the 14th day of June A.D. 1892, at or about the hour of 7:15 O'clock P.M. of said day, as per affidavit of death in Book No. 6 page 376 filed on the 28th day of June A.D. 1892.
Letters Testamentary on the foregoing Will of Elizabeth Bucher deceased, were granted to Jacob F. Bucher the Executor named in the said Will, after being duly qualified according to law, on the 28th day of June A.D. 1892.
