Salladasburg - the meeting of Boy Scout Troop No. 3 was held in the basement of the Methodist Church Monday evening under the leadership of Don Beacher scoutmaster and Fred Norman assistant scoutmaster.

The following program was carried out: Scout oath an scout sign: pledge to the flag, contest in first aid by the member of the troop; instructions in frist aid by Don Beacher.

The troop was reorganized with Don Beacher as scoutmaster and Fred Norman as assistant. Bennett Derr and McClarin Norman as patrol leaders.

The troop made preparations to attend the Annual Camporee at Camp Cline to be held over the weekend of May 27 and 28. they will leave at 1:30 Saturday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon at 2.

April 9 to 15 has been designated as "sports carnival week" at the Y.M.C.A. with such evens as badminton, basketball, billiards, boxing, handball, shuffleboard, swimming, table tennis and volleyball slated. Awards are being set up in all events.

The carnival will be supervised by a committee consisting of Boyd Betzel, Don Beacher, Ollie Shaffer, Lewis Dymick and Pat Donough.
