The affair was held to honor four members of the family who had birthday anniversaries in March. The celebrants were Mrs. Arthur Yohn, Douglas Bicher, Miss Marsha Mentzer and Gary Bicher, all of Myerstown.
A large birthday cake was served and the celebrants received gifts and cards.

13. Obituary: Lebanon Daily News: obituary of Morris Bicher on 14 Oct 1969 in Lebanon, Lebanon, PA. 10 Morris Bicher, 58, Myerstown RD 2, died Monday night in the Camp-a-While Rest Home, Cambelltown.
A member of the Freidens Lutheran Church, Myerstown, he was a son of the late Morris and Emma Bicher.
He is survived by his wife, Freda May, and three children: Jack and Glenn, Myerstown, and Glenda, wife of Arthur Yohn, Myerstown RD 3.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Allen Bamberger, Myerstown, and Mrs. Phyllis Barrett, Arcadia Calif; a brother, George, Womelsdorf, and seven grandchildren.

Newspaper: Morris was mentioned in an article entitled "Music & Drama That Was" appeared in the Lebanon County Weekender newspaper about the establishment of a music department at the high school., 8 Apr 2000, Myerstown, Lebanon, PA. 19 In 1923 a music department was established in the High School, the same year a school orchestra was started, followed by the Junior and Senior Chorus. Soon plays and operetta came into vogue.

To add to the towns entertainment, a few of the organizations, such as the American Legion and Civic Club, sponsored plays and musicals, hiring experienced directors but using "home talent.

George Bleistein, Rodney Steltz, Clifford Zinn, Morris Bicher and Neal Donley were the male lead actors. The female main characters were Emma Haak, Myrtle Walmer, Kathryn Weist, Ester Larson (music teacher) and Matilda Sando. The plays were performed in the 1930's.


Morris married Freda E. May, daughter of George Adam May Jr. and Josephine Waldfogle, on 27 Apr 1940 in Winchester, Winchester, VA, USA.1 (Freda E.
