2. Census in 1850 in Ephrata Twp., Lancaster, PA. ² Benedict Bucher, age 58, miller, is living with son Morrow, 28, miller; Jacob, 20, farmer; Perry, 18, carpenter; and Lydia Stober, 33. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania. No value is listed for Benedict's real estate.

3. Census in 1870 in Pine Creek Twp., Ogle, IL. ³ Jacob Bucher, miller, 38, was living with wife Matilda, 29; Mary, 7 Elwood, 10; John, 6; Thomas, 3; and Polly, 75. Everyone was born in Illinois except Jacob in Pennsylvania. Jacob had no real estate value. The post office was Grand Detour.

4. Census in 1880 in Jordan Twp., Green, WI. ⁴ Jacob Bucher, miller, 50, was living with wife Mathilda, 40; Elwood, works at farming, 19; Mary, 17; John, works at farming, 15; Thomas, works at farming, 13; Rosa, 10; and Charles, 3. All children were born in Illinois; Jacob and his parents in Pennsylvania; and Mathilda in Maryland, her father in Vermont, and mother in Pennsylvania.
