Source-1 Mr. Booher Died in Knoxville Last Thursday, Aug. 23
Funeral services for John Booher were conducted Saturday, Auguest 25, at 2:00 p.m. from the Alpine Nazarene Church with Delbert Johnson officiating. Interment was in the Booher family cemetery with Speck-Hyder Funderal Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Booher passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday August 23, in St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville. He became ill on Monday, August 20, and his death followed a three day confinement in the Knoxville hospital.
A son of Nance Booher, he was born at Alpine on July 5, 1881. He was 81 years of age.
A lifelong resident of Alpine, Mr. Booher moved to Livingston following the death of his wife fourteen years ago.
Survivors are three sons: Woodrow Booher and Jay Booher, both of Knoxtille, and Harvey Booher of Fort Worth, Texas; five daughters: Mrs. Maddie Wade, Mrs Delma Loy, Mrs. Nina O'Hara and Mrs. Frank Traugotta, all of Knoxville and Mrs. George Edist of Baltimore Maryland; eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
