In a copy of the "Hanover Gazette" bearing the date of 1835, and now in the possession of Reed Eppleman of Littlestown, appears the following advertisement: "Consumption cured by 'Indian Specific," a preparation put out by Dr. Clarkson Freeman of Lancaster, Pa., and for sale at Gobrecht's Apothecary Shop, Hanover, Penna."
