His son, Lewis Roeder Knerr, was born Feb. 10, 1861, and is the European buyer for H. B. Claflin & Co., of New York. He married Cora Snyder, and lives in Brooklyn. Mary Amanda Knerr, born Oct. 4, 1840, married, Nov. 7, 1858, Lewis P. Peters. They had three children: Ambrose F.; Charles E.; and Sallie L., wife of Alfred Fritz.
