Died on 73rd Birthday After Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Adaline Woomer, widow of Benj. Woomer, of Shenandoah, died at her home, 319 N. Centre St., on Wednesday morning following an illness dating from Christmas. Her death was due to complications. Mrs. Woomer who was a former Port Carbon resident but who has resided in Shenandoah for many years, celebrated her 73rd birthday anniversary, Wednesday. She was a member of the Primitive church and Barbara Fritchie Lodge Daughters of Liberty. The following children survive, Sarah, wife of Martin Griffin, of Colorado Springs; Mrs. John Bowman, of Pattersonville; Wm., of Braddock and Oscar, of Shenandoah.

Attesting to the esteem and respect in which she was held during life a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the funeral this afternoon of the late Mrs. Adaline Woomer, who passed away at her home Wednesday morning after a long and useful life.
A short service was held at the house No. 319 West Centre street after which the cortege proceeded to the Primitive Methodist church where the pastor, the Rev. W. Boyd, assisted by the choir, conducted services. Barbara Fritchie Council No. 84, Daughters of Liberty, of which the deceased was a member, attended the funeral in a body.
The pall bearers were: Cyrus Geise, Robert Patterson, Christian Dinklocker, Thomas Dodson, Edward Cooper and Albert Eisenhower. Interement was made in Odd Fellows cemetery. Williams and Son were funeral directors.
Among the out-of-town people in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wilds, Port Carbon; Mr. and Mrs. William Zimmerman, the Rev. William Hayne, Pottsville; Mrs. A. J. Schmiker, Ashland; Mrs. Susan Pasco, Scranton.
