F 5th KY Vol. Cav. enrolled 28 Sep 1861 at Burkesville for 3 years; mustered 31 Mar. 1862 at Gallatin TN., mustered out 3 May 1865 at Louisville, He was 28 in 1862, Lost horse and equipment, captured and paroled at Gallatin 21 Aug. 1862 by the enemy; returned to his co. in arrest 25 Apr. 1864; waiting the results of a general court martial 29 July 1873???. Charge of desertion removed. Was captured and paroled 21 Aug. 1864; because of great danger of being captured by guerillas and a gunshot wound received by the accidental discharge of his own gun, at or near Columbia TN on or about 20 May 1863, saddler.

Source-12 Michael Booher To David Booher 26 acres 11 May 1858

Know all men by these presents that whereas David Booher Senior deceased under his last will and testament in writing among other legacies therein contained did give and bequeath unto his son Michael Booher of Clinton County Kentucky a one seventh part of a tract or tracts of land lying in Sullivan County and State of Tennessee adjoining the lands of James J. Rader, James King, William Willoughby and George Worley and others on the waters of Cedar branch being an undivided tract or tracts of land which as will appear in the last will and testament of the said David Booher Sr. Deceased which is to be divided whenever his youngest son Christian Booher arrives at the age of twenty one years of which I the said Michael Booher is intitled to one seventh part of said land now know ye that I the said Michael Booher for and in consideration of the sum of Two hundred and eight Dollars to me in hand paid by David Booher Son of Said David Booher Senior Deceased the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the said David Booher all my right title interest and claim which I now have or ever shall or will have in and to said tract or trcts of land now know ye that I the Said Michael Booher being fully satisfied in the premises have remised released and forever quit claimed and by these presents do remise release and forever quit claim unto the said David Booher his heirs executors or administrators all and all manner of claim right and title whatsoever which I the said Michael Booher now have might should or would have or of right ought to have or claim of in or out of all and every mesuages lands tenements and hereditements so as I the Said Michael Booher my heirs nor any other person or persons in my name hereafter have claim challenge or demand for or by reason or means of any matter clause or thing whatsoever, in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of May 1858.
