DEATHS AND FUNERALS. Jonas A. Cassel, who for eighteen years had been overseer of the Whitehall farm, near the Reservoir park, for the Calder estate, died on Saturday evening at the Whitehall farm house, in the 46th year of his age. He had been ill with pneumonia but one week. He leaves a wife and five children. Mr. Cassel had been in the employ of the Calder estate for thirty years. The funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Penbrook U. B. church.

Funeral on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from his late residence, Whitehall farm, near city reservoir. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further notice. Funeral service at Penbrook U. B. church.

Newspaper: Harrisburg Telegraph: Death of Jonas Cassel, 16 Apr 1900, Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA. ² Jonas Cassel, one of the most prominent dairymen and farmers in Susquehanna township, died at his residence on the Calder farm, near Reservoir Park, early yesterday morning from pneumonia, after an illness of about a month. Deceased was about 45 years of age and is survived by his second wife and six children. He was the son of John J. Cassel, of Linglestown, and was well-known in this city and vicinity.
