Bertha B. (Beecher) Kochel, 79, wife of Samuel H. Kochel, died yesterday in the home of a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Miles Haws, Llanerch. She was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Robison) Beecher and was a member of Harmony Methodist Church, Joanna.

Mrs. Kochel was a school teacher in Robeson Township for many years. She was a graduate of Joanna Seminary and Brunner School, Reading.

Surviving are her husband; six children; Esther R., wife, of Levi B. Cramp, Mohnton R. D.; Thomas D., Birdsboro R. D.; Frank B., Reading; Margaret S., wife of Miles W. Haws, with whom she resided; Henrietta H., wife of Dr. Samuel F. Scheidy, Drexel Hill; and Jessie R., Jamesville, Wis.; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Services tomorrow at 2 p. m. in the Mohr Funeral Home, Birdsboro, the Rev. Verne E. Snyder officiating. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Gibraltar.
