Kegerise, 81, formery of Kenhorst, died Nov. 17 at 8:47 a.m. in Wyomissing Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Reading, where he had resided since July 9, 2004. He was the husband of Dorothy G. (Simpson) Kegerise. Born in Shillington, he was a son of the late Warren D. and Carrie E. (Books) Kegerise. Kegerise was employed for 38 years as a cable splicer and desk man by Bell Telephone Co., Muhlenberg Township, retiring July 25, 1986. He was a member of One United Church of Christ, Kenhorst, where he served on the consistory board. Kegerise was a 1942 graduate of Shillington High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Kegerise was a life member of Hunter-Liggett Post 38, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Reading. He also was past commander of the Gen. George G. Meade Camp Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. Kegerise also is survived by a son, Scott E., Sinking Spring. Other survivors include a brother, Warren B., Shillington. There are four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.


Paul married Dorothy G. Simpson. (Dorothy G. Simpson was born on 7 Aug 1927 in Huntingdon, Huntingdon, PA,5 6 died on 29 Aug 2015 in Sinking Spring, Berks, PA 5 6 and was buried in Sinking Spring: Pleasant View Cemetery, Berks, PA 6.)
