Beecher Jackson, age 89, of Carlisle, PA, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Chapel Point Nursing Home in Carlisle. Born February 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie Lamma Bodkins.

Mrs. Jackson worked at the former Stanley Company in Chambersburg, while studying to be a CNA. She worked as a CNA for a number of years, prior to her retirement. Mrs. Jackson enjoyed bead work, puzzles, playing bingo, and anything with the color purple.

Surviving are three sons, Michael E. Beecher (wife Lisa) of Mercersburg, PA, James L. Beecher of Fayetteville, PA, and Paul E. Beecher, Jr. (wife Susan) of Carlisle, PA; a stepson, Glenn Beecher (wife Emma) of Fayetteville, PA and stepdaughter, Winifred Beam of Carlisle, PA; seven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Paul Beecher, Sr., William Glotfelty, and Glenn Jackson; a daughter in law, Shirley Beecher; five brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA; where Rev. Terry Hoke will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3 from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Grane Hospice, 4 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 201, Lemoyne, PA 17043.
