Obituary: The News Journal: obituary of Walter Beecher on 5 Dec 1941 in Wilmington, New Castle, DE. ⁷ Walter Beecher, 77 years old, of 700 West Sixth Street, died this morning at his home after a long illness. The funeral will take place from the Smith Funeral Home, Twenty-fifth and Market Streets, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park, Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday night. Surviving Mr. Beecher are two sons. Walter Beecher, Jr., and Howard Francis Beecher of Wilmington; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Elliott oi Richardson Park and Mrs. William Roberts of Minquadale, and 14 grandchildren. For many years Mr. Beecher was employed by the old McCullough Iron Company.

Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.

For many years Mr. Beecher was employed by the old McCullough Iron Company.

Two sons, Walter Beecher Jr. and Howard Francis Beecher of Wilmington; two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Elliott of Richardson Park and Mrs. William Roberts, of Minquadale, and 14 grandchildren, survive.
